So the suns been out this week, which can only mean one thing- time to get your spring wardrobe out, dust it down and sort through it. After Sunday the hottest day of the year so far as usual we all get our flip flops out (even if it’s not quite hot enough for that). I know that last weekend I went to do a food shop and the lady who served me asked me if I was having a BBQ, and rather than it shocking me, I wondered why I wasn’t!!
I know that when I look at my spring wardrobe from last year all I think is how much it needs updating. Were all starting on our spring cleaning, gardening etc, so why can this not include sprucing up your wardrobe ready for those sunny weekends. Tribal has been around for a while now, but doesn’t seem to get old with interesting new prints every season. It’s such a bold trend, and the jewellery is amazing, with key chunky statement jewellery. My absolute favourite piece in this trend is the Aztec print harem trousers. They are made in a lovely lightweight woven fabric, so are comfy and perfect from now right through summer. Pastels are perfect this year, with colours to suit every skin tone. With Pinks, mints, yellows, blues… you literally feel like a kid in a sweet shop. My personal fave is this dusty pink blouse with black lace contrast trim. Perfect for a sophisticated evening out with friends, or even wear it to the office and refresh your work wardrobe. Daisy is probably the hottest new trend right now, with everyone wearing it, so you can’t miss out, this is a wardrobe ESSENTIAL. Whether the print is a small two coloured ditsy daisy, or whether it’s a bold in your face print, there’s something for everyone. I am loving the 90’s inspired grunge daisy print tunic with a separate t-shirt worn underneath. Tropical is an up and coming trend for mid spring/summer, with beautiful tropical palm tree prints, large floral’s, and bright vibrant colours. We have had the first few pieces for this bold trend come in this week and it’s looking strong already. For me the most exciting product is definitely the new in tropical print skater dress.
